>>107874871You're comparing apples to oranges my dude. Cartoons and anime have as much in common as a comic book and a comic strip. Sure, something like Calvin and Hobbes isn't as detailed as as something like Batman, nor does it have a serious plot, morally ambiguous characters, or intense fight scenes. But it's not fucking supposed to, and if it did it would actually drive away its intended audience rather than attract it.
Same goes for the difference between, say, Eva and The Simpsons. They're both great, but in vastly different ways and for vastly different reasons
