N52 Flash had great art, passable stories.
One of the best parts of Flash is good villains. The Rogues had some of the best tie-in miniseries for Final Crisis and Forever Evil. Again, great but be aware you'd be jumping headfirst into continuity plots.
Heard good things about the Geoff Johns and Mark Waid runs from before the return of Barry Allen. But I haven't gotten around to reading them so that's just hearsay.
Have read a tiny bit of the Silver Age beginning of Barry Allen flash. Was pretty good as far as silver age goes.
