To think when this show started out, I didn't think much of it. Gave it a shot after /co/ posted cute screenshots, but the first season felt so... meh, this is so watered-down, why can't we have real action anymore, tired of things that only touch the surface of the mahou shoujo genre, etc. But the little things kept me in, mostly Star's personality, and people like Starfan. Then I detected the little hints of Matt Chapman's influence. Then season 2 and onward started really ramping shit up.
I've been saying since harry fucking potter took off that I'm sick of magic wands (though this show's scepter-style ones are the ones I hate the least), I want people shooting magic out of their HANDS. and what happens? That becomes a thing Star does, and a major plot point even.
