Its filled with good qualities and bad ones.
Good story and writing elements and bad ones.
I always enjoyed actually WATCHING the show though. I never left and episode mad or upset. I was always happy I watched it.
Granted there was stuff like the shipping, the deepest lore, some loose threads and stuff that kept it from being kino, but I still overall enjoyed myself and I'm happy I watched it and saw it through to the end.
I think the strongest element was 100% the characters. SVTFOE has some genuinly really good characters that always motivated me to wanna keep watching just cause I liked em.
It also heavily reeks of Disney coming in saying "change that" or "you need to do this" or "focus groups".
I get conflicting reports on how much of a problem that really was with the show, but it certainly feels like a compromise vision.
I feel like Nefcy had a specif idea and story in mind and it slowly got warped.
Still enjoyable though, I actually bother to finish and get caught up, unlike SU.
All in all, as it stands now, I'm happy I watched it.
Also I don't care what anyone says, that scene where they all go butterfly form and all the past queens come out was fuckin rad.
Eclipsa is my wife and I love her and she was the best part of season 3 and 4
