Tina’s always had her fellow teens (Jimmy Jr., Zeke, Tammy, Jocelyn, and Hollyhock), Gene now has Courtney and Alex, and Louise has Rudy, Millie, the Pesto Twins, and any number of her slumber party attendees. And I’m pretty sure Darryl can be paired up with any of the Belchers.
It was cute back then when we’d see Tina, Gene, and Louise eating at lunch together, but grouping the three together all the time feels like a crutch for the writers now. With the kids always manning the A-plot (and all the new kid characters that have been introduced from this), the Bob’s Burgers writers could stand to separate the Belcher kids a little more often. My only issue with the show nowadays is how much it relies on the same story structure of Tina, Gene, and Louise doing something together, while Bob and Linda (and sometimes Teddy) are at the restaurant. It’s getting stale, guys.
