Do children actually learn lessons from cartoons? Like Disney's "Believe in yourself" type messages? Because I feel like if a kid is getting bullied by classmates or abused by family members, no cartoon is going to undo all that damage.

Those old animated PSAs never worked on me as a kid, so I imagine it's pretty much the same today.
