You wanna know why animation isn't taken seriously and why adults liking cartoons is seen as a joke? It's because the animation fandom IS a fucking joke. It is one of the most toxic, vile, entitled, and ungrateful communities on the internet comprised of some of the worst excuses for human beings to ever live. Just a sampling of what they've done:
>bullied a fan artist into near-suicide for drawing characters slightly skinnier than normal
>rioted in the streets over sauce, harassing employees and stabbing people when they couldn't get any
>bullied, harassed, and blackmailed writers and artists for writing mediocre SB episodes, drawing anything even slightly off-model, not making their ships canon, having character development, or just doing their fucking job
>threw hissyfits for cartoons appealing to anyone outside the straight white male demographic by being racist, sexist, homophobic dickheads to crew members
>ruined the name of an entire school because of a stupid and inaccurate meme, to the point where they had to close due to a shooting threat, and people tried to defend it as a joke
>act like anime is superior despite being full of the same problems (filler, limited animation, every show looking the same, gratuitous fanservice and yaoi/yuri)
>and yet after all that shit, they have the gall to claim creators are immature or lazy for asking they and their fellow man be treated with the most basic of respect

Places like this are why so many aspiring animators give up on their dreams. They are led to believe pursuing a career in animation is a pointless and self-defeating goal because idiots like you constantly put them down and will burn them at the stake for the most minor of offenses, or god forbid, making something you don't like! This board is a fucking disgrace, I wish humanity would just go extinct already since we've clearly outlived our usefulness and contributed nothing positive to the world.
