So can we have a serious discussion about this specifically?

Was there any earlier foreshadowing as to why Cassandra would betray Rapunzel specifically? Not just her not being a great friend or even the hand thing. It still feels so sudden and baffling.

Is the implication here that she was evil the entire time and everything she's done or pretended to be was an elaborate con? How does her father play into all of this? Did he know? Is he even her real father? I'm pretty confused.
