>>106851256I'd say it's more so because of other sites that hijacked them, with people here just trying to rebrand them (Pepe becoming smug/confident, Wojack becoming onions or brainlet variants) and trying to "retake" them instead of just letting the things die since the outside sites can't cook up anything new and would eventually get bored if they saw no one else bothered with them. Either way, sucks that people can't be more varied with their reaction imagery in a lot of cases.
