>>106813931>what other people do with their relationships is their business.Want to know why every significant civilization coming into the modern age had a strong marriage tradition, either monogamous or polygynous? The ones that didn't, fell apart. They either collapsed and went extinct, or they became weak and wallowed in irrelevance.
Liberalism is the cancer that grows in empires and kills them. This stuff isn't new. It happened to ancient empires, too. Society grows too large, encompasses too many peoples with unaligned values, stops feeling like a team effort. The feeling spreads that nothing really matters, that if you care about the rules that built your society, you're just being stupid or mean, not advanced enough to move beyond them like the cool kids.
For a woman to be attached to one and only one man is basically the only way to get children raised properly. Being unwed has to be humiliating for women, and having sex outside of marriage has to be shameful, bordering on criminal, along with any form of birth control or abortion. Why is this important? Because otherwise your civilization gets enfeebled by disease, outbred, and swarmed by its rivals.
At this point you might say, "But what about overpopulation?" If responsible, thoughtful people (or societies, collectively) restrict their reproduction, they will be less represented in the next generation compared to irresponsible or thoughtless people and societies, and if they persist, they will be hopelessly outnumbered and die out. You can't cheat nature, you have to compete. Choosing not to fight is choosing to lose. Having everyone else not fight isn't an option on the menu.
Sex is not entertainment. It's the act which initiates life. It's the single most important thing we do.
