Pre-OMD Mary Jane was one of the most faithful wives in comic books, to the point that she regularly threw her weak little body at things way out of her league to protect Peter when he could no longer protect himself, even if it meant her getting tossed around and bones broken.
This is a woman who had a breakdown when the media thought she and Tony Stark were having an affair because she was such a devoted wife that even complete strangers thinking she was cheated on her husband, despite her husband and the other Avengers knowing it not the case, crushed her.
MJ can be a ditz and even a little bitchy from time to time (Thanks Slott), but she's solid and loyal wife material.
