>>106670234I also think having to solve problems without explicit sex and violence ends off being more realistic.
I love Game of Thrones (or rather, I love the books and liked the show when it corresponded to them) but it always bugged me how eager people were to jump into bed because it does not seem representative
maybe I'm just a fucking loser. In real life, people are insecure, awkward - they need some sort of catharsis. People who can engage in casual sex have a very specific pathology (someone like Petyr who doesn't care about people; or Tyrion, who has emotional baggage; or someone who is just a straight hedonist), whereas in a lot of adult shows (Sex in the City) everyone exhibits these traits. It's cheap drama.

>anti-human SJW propagandaHow are you typing this from inside a high school locker?
>>106673002>force a political messageYou could say that about any moral or story with a point.
>>106673896What he probably means, to be ungenerous, is "when ethical and political messages correspond to my POV I see them as universal truths, but when they disagree with me I get triggered no matter how deftly the message was incorporated or not".
I like plenty of old movies with very explicit political and social themes I disagree with (ex. Forrest Gump) and I don't accuse them of "forcing" a message unless the characters behave in an unrealistic fashion (see: Reefer Madness). And even then, it's hilarious.

>KorraAnnoyed me because of how bland they were. I'm not even sure I can call it an asspull because that sort of characterization was standard for Korra. My best friend is a lesbian and hates Bryke because "I didn't see Korrasami coming but some straight guy is gonna fucking tell me I have a heterosexual lens?!"
