But Rise!April is different since her race doesn't define her character, rather it intensifies her personality. Out of all the Aprils in the franchise, this one is able to be more than "The chick who hangs out with mutated reptiles" or "The ginger cutie I got my first boner from". This April is fun, able to stand up for herself, isn't pushing any agendas, and thank god there's no angst-y teen romance between her and Donnie and Casey. That shit fucking ruined '12 for me aside from the ugly 3D design.
