Nope. Would be better if it had one, like numbing Miles' own peripheral nerves in his fingers up to the arms with heavy use, which would make dragged out fights harder for him.

But that'd be to hard to write for Bendis.

It does not work on Heavy armor enemies. (If you look at spider-men 2)
If miles used too much venom blast, He passes out. (Like in the fight against ultimate doom)

In the movies and comics, He needs to focus to summon his venom blast.

It heavily weakens him. Generally, other writers nerfed it from how Bendis wrote it. It did nothing for example to Rhino but the attack weakened Miles.

so imagine the caloric strain on a thin body. It'd be easy to become emaciated if he isn't compensating.

I bet Marvel had a party after Bendis left for DC. With a burning effigy of him and a banner saying "HE'S NOT OUR PROBLEM ANYMORE". And a cake, with a candle for every good comic he wrote at Marvel (so about two or three).
