Just got around watching Final Space, cause I'm ill and got nothing else to do.
Man the show could have been really fucking good but the bad humor and obnoxious characters really kill it.
It's like they couldn't decide if they wanted to do a dumb comedy show or a serious drama and are also really bad at being both.
I genuinely enjoyed the show when it was serious and stayed serious. The animation is really beautiful, the OST is amazing and the story is really depressing.
And then it breaks everything with Family Guy tier humor. It's really a shame. Obviously the show needs humor to relieve some drama, but the humor is just way to low brow and mindless that it completely breaks the immersion when they attempt "Comedy".
