She was daft and it was their own damn fault for trying to build up an obscure background entity in the twilight of a long-running series. >her upbringing
A fair point, but that's quite literally all she had. Otherwise FP is just an age-appropriate retread of Marceline's "girl who's bad for you" shtick with more daddy issues tacked on. She served no purpose to the series outside blatant shipbait, and faded into obscurity when her arc ran its course.>Aside from randomly making her extremely old just to put her back during poor Shoko's timeframe I can't see any reason this is bad
Disagree, it reshaped the audience's entire perception of Bubblegum as a character and a leader. Instead of this budding, gifted (albeit slightly rigid and high-strung) monarch juggling a kingdom and diplomatic relations that should be too much for any teenager we're introduced to this centuries-old empire builder who seemingly had a hand in shaping the geopolitical landscape of Ooo since its beginning.>Not everyone is perfect
Not my argument, see the above.>Screw you for having me hang on the entire post before showing that you just hate lesbians.
Allow me to reiterate: I found Marceline more enjoyable when she was a hot-blooded daredevil, not a mopey ball of tweeny wangst that solely exists alone in a vacuum with Bubblegum for whatever reason. It was a gross misappropriation of her character.
