I've been told it's a fairly standard practice, considering they have hundreds of people coming through, and the Navy can't be arsed to have someone getting personalized dentistry when just getting them yanked does the trick. I don't have any contacts in Great Lakes, and nobody I know ever got their 'cookie', so I'm not sure how true that exactly is.
