There's no point in making a spin-off about one-dimensional SB characters. The charm of SB is that all of these one-dimensional characters are part of a bigger ensemble cast and can play off one another. Sandy Cheeks on her own is boring as fuck, but she is meant to be a foil to SpongeBob.

At least with the LH spinoff, it is specifically targeted towards Latino Americans and will delve into topics that a white family wouldn't or shouldn't discuss.

Angry Beavers was cancelled because they pissed Nickelodeon off, it was a good series, it was well loved and was clearly wanting to continue when cancelled. Do something with that.

Nickelodeon doesn't give a shit about the 90's generation, but they understand how marketable and profitable nostalgia is. They are just making uninspired clones of old Nickelodeon shows with none of the creative spark that got people to watch said shows. Double Dare. Legends of the Hidden Temple. And soon Blue's Clues, Rugrats, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and All That. None of the original cast and producers are working on these shows. It's all new people.

Nick has no respect for the original teams.
For example, two weeks ago, Joe Murray said on FB that Nickelodeon hasn't given him any updates on when the movie will air. Keep in mind the movie was already finished almost a year ago. It's in a complete form and should have aired last year. And yet they greenlit fucking YouTube for TV shows that nobody watches on TV because they can all be found on YouTube. They greenlit a Star Trek show only because their competitor has Star Wars. And they greenlit LEGO City because they think LEGO is profitable after they screwed over TMNT.

Angry Beavers is not getting anything; it aired in the blank period between Nickelodeon's origin era and the SB era. It's a great show, but it was overshadowed by Hey Arnold and Blue's Clues, and Nick doesn't see it as profitable.
