>>105823255>30sI guess. A little too detailed but basically it's there.
>40sThis one is actually cute. I like it. Ironically the clothes are more simplified than the 30s one, so they fucked that up
>50sSure, whatever. It's pretty weird looking, and the eyes aren't exactly of the times.
>60sThey sorta got it right. It looks adequate.
>70sWhy the fuck is he so fat? What are they trying to look like here?
80s
>Pretty good. It's clearly just based on Garfield but what else could they have done>90sIt's just Stimpy. Gumball looks nothing like Stimpy. There's like 300 90s cartoons to choose from and that's what they did.
>2000sWhat fucking 2000s cartoon looked like that? I lived through this era. Nothing looked anything like that. I'm perplexed by this.
If anything though, this serves as a way for CN to justify sticking to trends instead of trying anything new. Saying "each era had a style, see!" just gives an excuse to just churn out stuff in the same style for convenience sake. We live in an era where streaming is prevalent, and kids are able to find cartoons from the past 40 years with the click of a button. It's time we start letting other styles flourish.
