Almost Naked Animals was a simple ensemble cast, where the joke is that they're wearing underwear. It's likely that they knew it wasn't groundbreaking, but fit the bill of easy to produce, easy to write, Canadian shows. It's simple to jam canned plots into, kids like animals, underwear is funny to kids. Forgettable, but understandable how it got on air.
>>105747266Remember that in it's original form, Adventure Time was a weird student art project. It's likely that AT was passed on for Fanboy, because Fanboy was easier to write for. Realistically it's formula isn't that much different from Spongebob, and I imagine internally they wanted to explore 3D as an option. AT was a a critical hit, but it just as easily could have been a huge risk. Understandable how this happened.
>>1057472933D was exciting, Ren and Stimpy was a hit. Studios proceeded to misunderstand why gross out humor worked so well, thinking ugliness translated to instant funny. Excusable.
>>105749179Book series is fun. The lore building of the world is weird. It was only a bad idea since it seems like they missed the mark and it should have come out sooner. I might have given it a shot when I was younger.
>>105750118Yvon clearly has a few things going on. It's like a bizarre history lesson, mixed with representation for Yukon. Canada probably funded the shit out of it.
All Grown Up is the Rugrats if they weren't babies. Easy to write, characters are established, IP is established.
Weekenders. Fucking bait. Kids hang out on the weekend. It's relatable.
Buzz Lightyear. I keep falling for your shit bait. Even in Toy Story, Buzz is a cartoon IP. They just expanded on this. It was fine.
Kim Possible. I'm fucking done with your shitpost.
