>>105678923It's not really the important, core plots of the games that are confusing, it's just all the fineprint and background details that are extremely hard to piece together. One of the problems is the silly "digital world" excuses they come up with to let the player play as "Sora" and "Riku" in the increasingly pointless spinoffs.
Then there's the fact that there are some details that aren't in the games, were never in the games, and will never be in the games, but instead were reserved to interviews in random Japanese magazines, if that.
Like Anserm not being the real Ansem but a fake Ansem, except he has distinct memories of talking to Mickey that only the real Ansem has, and he wrote this in his secret diary that no one was supposed to see, and he has this body, except it's not his real body because he stole it from Riku, except it looks nothing like Riku's body and it happens to look very similar to his real body from years back, and he sent Kairi to Destiny Islands, but you can't survive in space, and she has no memories of him nor Hollow Bastion, and she has a... Dad... on Destiny Islands?... and a Grandma... in Hollow Bastion?
Just stuff like that, which the creators didn't put much thought into and that we're not supposed to fuss about either, can get irritating to get your head around. But the important stuff? That's all fairly easy to follow if you pay attention.
Not DDD though. Screw DDD.
