your liver works constantly to remove toxins from your blood, you can't feel it at all unless there's something very wrong with you because it's not tied into that part of your nervous system
drink plenty of water before you go to bed after drinking - this will prevent dehydration, which is the primary cause of your hangover headache (and if you're staying awake drunk, drink water regularly - if you're still drinking, then have AT LEAST one cup of water for every alcoholic drink, not including the liquid in alcoholic drinks)
the other effects of hangover - nausea, dizziness, loss of fine motor control etc - other than headache are down to one of three things: still being drunk (impaired motor control, dizziness), still having alcohol in your stomach (nausea - your body will try to vomit if there are bad things inside you), and dehydration (dizziness is usually just low blood pressure from dehydration, and is easily remedied with WATER that you need to live)
other than that if you're hurting with a hangover it's probably muscular-skeletal pain from something you were doing while you were drunk - dancing, running, whatever - which you're not fit enough to really do the way you were doing it and were too drunk to properly feel or understand you shouldn't be doing (this happens because alcohol is a depressant - meaning it depresses your central nervous system to really fuck up your pain-feeling, decision-making parts, not meaning it makes you sad)
