She rationalizes it as "well he was blackmailing me saying he would kill himself" and "he might come look for me at my house" but honestly, just how fucking dumb do you have to be to think it's a good idea? The police can't do shit beecause they don't have solid proof he can't deny and if he where to search for you across the country then you would have evidence for it, and at one point you should stop and tell him to just off himself if he wants to so much because you can't carry his ass anymore.
She says she wants her parents to do something about it and that she was told about being careful with strangers and all that bullshit, so what's her excuse? I didn't have a ton of friends when I was growing up, I was super fucking sheltered, and I STILL knew not to fall for this obvious bullshit. It just makes me so fucking angry that all this could've been prevented if she had just stopped at any moment and block his ass right there and then instead of thinking to herself "oh yea he a bitchboi i could totally beat his skinny ass hehe imma gonna draw him with horns"
The guy is a total fucking asshole and deserves jailtime btw, not even defending him. But at one point you need to stop and say to yourself "why the fuck am I being so retarded?" when this escalates so far
