Some of the best threads on /co/ have been threads that ride that line of topical, and the real problem are the people who get mad about shit so they go so far as to sabotage and derail the threads simply because you don't like the thread's subject.
/co/ hasn't had a decent old school cheesecake thread in almost 11 years because as soon as someone doesn't like that they derail the thread with shitty memes and get the thread deleted solely because they didn't want people enjoying something they didn't. It doesn't help that it's easy to do because all you need to do is post something from shadman or something with ass in it to get someone dumping their entire >shadman collection or epic based sniffing meme reaction images.
