>>105253056Yes, but not very much. Let's take the film as it's own thing and forget the comic for a moment, the film just suffers for the over use of flashbacks and slow motion so it turns boring quickly, it's very long, and when action happens it's jarring to the rest of the film.
Taking the comic into account, it's just a color muted retelling where the whole text is there but it's eerie in the small differences. In the film ozzimandias is right because, since he and the rest of the watchmen do have enhanced strength, he has the power/responsibility bullshit; in the comic it's clear they're broken and bad people but the film misses the point by glorifying the violence and making their heroes cool. I can't really blame Snyder, Hollywood needs cool heroes and clear villains to give the budget necessary to make something this big, but it sacrifices the meaning of the book.
