You failed to take into account that Excalibur, despite being the sword given to Arthur by the Fae when the sword from the stone broke, will, when presented with a stone, embed itself into the stone, only able to be withdrawn by Arthur despite the fact that the Sword in the Stone was a one-time deal regarding the sword belonging to Uther, Arthur's father.
