Season 2 was a good invasion storyline mixing reach/thanagar/martian plots into one big story

The League and co. probably know there's a connection to The Light but not about Darkseid himself or what his end game is. Though I'm starting to see why Darkseid and Savage partnered up. Darkseid gets supersoldiers when the metagene is activated and the more Savage discovers about the metagene, activating it, etc. the closer he comes to his goal of making humanity strong and big players on a universal scale.

I don't know if it's just me, but something feels like this show is trying to be way too edgy now. It feels like it's trying to be exactly like all the recently animated DC movies. They might generally get paid for hero work by Earth governments. The Justice League is UN sanctioned, it seems pretty official. A lot of the characters don't really seem to have much of a life outside of costume so it seems like it would be hard for them to fit a job in there. M'gann looks like she full time devotes herself to the team and Superboy doesn't seem like he'd have anywhere else to work either. Dick especially doesn't seem to do anything other than hero work this season, but I guess Batman just bankrolls him.

That said, some of the VAs doing accents were dropping in and out and it was incredibly annoying, probably the worst part of the show for me. The prince (the one who stayed as prince at the end) was fucking terrible cause every few words dropped out of the accent

Has anyone stopped and realized that when you think about it, Young Justice is about a group of adults lead by a billionaire that use child soldiers and that when they're sanctioned by the UN controlled by another billionaire who wants to put Earth on the center of the cosmos, the heroes tell them to fuck off (well, Batman and Friends) and then create it's own team, at the same time they justify interventionism on countries that are clearly supposed to be Iraq and former members of the Soviet bloc (which are also controlled by Lex Luthor) and the only social movement is a completely astroturfed campaign created by Holywood actor BEAST BOY of all people, whose tagline is "If you see something, scream something"?

That's fucked up.
