It seems especially out of place coming from Matt of all people. The one thing the dude had going for him despite being a boring and irrelevant character was that he was pretty chill about most things, and now that's taken kind of a hit. I don't like Paulo either, but this is shitty and just makes me glad we should be done with Matt for a while.

I really wish the next chapter would have a slot on the archive page so I could at least guess as to what it will be about. Taeshi is really hyping it up for some reason, but that could just be to try to hold onto readers during this painful update schedule.

i think matt has to act this way in this page because jordan isn't aware that paulo is has more to him than just rude ladiesman. matt can't exactly defend paulo after just being told that paulo sexually harassed jordan in a bathroom. he has to shit on paulo for the sake of the scene.
we have to remember that while the reader is aware that paulo is significantly more complex than he appears, not every character is aware of this fact.

matt's blushing in this page is more because he is surprised that his mancrush cares about him enough to set him up with someone. i think matt's reaction here is perfectly normal.

Might as well just go ahead and confirm Matt is masquerading as a freakishly huge kid. Would be the most interesting part of his character.
