Her story in the Special was already a marked improvement and it opened the door to more solo stories, the first of which is coming in just a few months.
Fap to Irving's art all you want, but don't try to hype it like it was the best time for the character. And don't try to act like titilation's always a good thing. If it were, Space Girls would have a numbered hardcover anniversary collection by now.
