>>104691762This is a show I still enjoy to some degree, but it has developed problems beginning in the latter of season 2.
Lincoln and his sisters are no longer adversarial. This doesn't mean anyone has to be a villain, but the most interesting conflicts were between him and his sisters individually. Those moments were the most real, it's also when we learned about the characters. As the focus has shifted to external problems, character development stopped.
Plot resolution teeter between schmaltzy and cheesy sitcom, lacking the genuine emotions of the first season. This is related to the shift away from family dynamics and into morals lessons.
Clyde, Ronnie-Anne's family, and Lori and Bobbi's relationship have always been the weakest aspects of the show, but they've been getting more airtime. They're not interesting at best, and annoying at worst.
There's an increasing tendency to go for manic humor, especially when it involves the entire family. For the short 11 minute episodes, this guarantees a mess.
On the plus side, the voice performances are still great, the production is consistent and solid. But there were fewer memorable moments in season 3. I say this with complete sincerity: this is a show about family. It seems to have forgotten that.
