>>104673522>>104673522That's not what I meant, sorry if that's how it came off. There were some fine odds and ends in the wake of Infinity Gauntlet. I'll always have a soft spot for stuff like Starmasters or Cosmic Powers, despite Jack of Heart's best attempts to ruin the latter for me.
Marz's Silver Surfer is pretty consistently entertaining, as is Valentino's GOTG, and Gru's Quasar, all of which started before IG and continued pretty well into the 90s.
I'm rather fond of Infinity Watch myself, but mostly cause I like how Starlin writes the characters. Hell, I even like Starlin's early 2000s work more than many around here. But as far as the big tentpole Infinity Events go, War and Crusade are much weaker than Gauntlet and by the end it's just hard to care, even for me.
PAD's Captain Marvel (2000) is fucking aces though and a tremendously fun read, even if it kinda fizzles out at the end, and there other gems in the late 90s and early 2000s.
Timothy Zahn (of Star Wars fame) wrote a nice little Star-Lord miniseries around 97 that's no longer canon, and there's also a neat Inhumans mini, v4 I think, that's very Cosmic but has some major continuity problems regarding Star-Lord as of Giffen's reintroduction of the character.
Silver Surfer: In Thy Name is also a personal favorite of mine. And Stormbreaker: The Saga of BRB is great as well. Same artist as Annihilation too, IIRC.
