Once original cartoons for TV started rolling in, they continued that tradition. One of the early examples is The Huckleberry Hound Show which included Huck, Pixie and Dixie, and Yogi Bear.
Once 7 minute format died out in favor of 11 minute episodes, the whole show just focused on one series instead.
