>>104492161The true wildcard of Homestuck. After a certain point even Gamzee was understood as straight up villian, so him doing something to further LE's plans was always to be expected. It was also fairly obvious that Vriska would almost always steal the spotlight, even if her actions were wrong, you could always bet that she'd return. Everybody in the fandom regarded him as a joke, even Hussie himself told us that if you are holding on to the hopes of him being/doing anything important you are sorely mistaken. Despite this he:
>had the first ever onscreen kiss in the comic with the second best troll girl, Aradia>had thousands of robot girlfriends in the afterlife>had the most stable, functioning and wholesome moirallegiance with Nepeta, a relationship that lasted throughout the entire comic>which resulted in him changing his stances on a few things and developing, even if they didn't really matter by the end (he rennounced his superiority over others and put his overly serious nature aside as ARquius for Davepeta's sake) >unlike pretty much everyone, he never attempted to murder any of his friends even though he could've very easily done so>he saved the life of Homestuck's savior and gave her a cool robot arm even though she technically never really asked him to help (Vriska)>diffused a highly dangerous element and subsequently restored her as the main healer (Tiaratop Jane)But most importantly:
>saved the lives of ALL the kids by putting Caliborn (THE villain of HS) into a freakin HEADLOCK, simultaneously giving them a fighting chance in a basically hopeless situation but at the same time... >becoming part of Lord English, an indestructible demon as well as Doc Scratch, who had singlehandedly shaped the fate of the entirety of trollkindTrue, he was absent for large portions of the comic. But a lot of these things are plot elements that joke characters don't really get to have for themselves. Guess being an Heir of Void finally explains itself.
