First movie: Bob is depicted as selfish and wrong for missing the ol' superhero days, trying to get away from his family, he is missing out on his greatest adventure, yadda. Eventually a middle ground is reached because they can be a superhero family and Bob learns that his family is all the adventure he needs anyways.
Second movie: Helen ditches her whole family to go on an awesome fempowerment adventure while Bob displays being utterly incompetent at taking care of the kids. Helen going solo is treated as cool and great and yaas kween SLAY
