It’s beginning to look a lot like /co/hristmas.
The days grow colder, the nights grow longer. That means /co/ Christmas cheer is coming to town. Grab some cocoa, turn on the Christmas music, get comfy, and hang out with some /co/mrades as we share stories and get into the holiday spirit.
As previous years, share your Amazon wishlist and some random Anon may purchase a holiday gift for you. Be sure to gift another Anon in return so we can spread the cheer far and wide.
Last year we had 180 gifted anons, some more than once.

So what are you guys' plans for the weekend? I will probably go to the local Christmas market with friends and drink a few Glühweins (mulled wine) in the evening and tomorrow, a friend of mine wants to go out partying but I'm not really in the mood yet. Also posting my list in case Krypto doesn't find a Germanon he wants to gift 1H0UA0MRH0GR1
Krypto, Great Grand Son of Vypto
>>104434537 I'd like to make the ungifted list smaller first, if at all possible, and I did find ONE German anon so the shipping would be free, but apparently there's still some sort of 2 euro fee for something unspecific plus the VAT. But I'd like to give the other anons (Sweden, one Serbian and one other) a chance since anyone else other than a fellow countryman will likely have the same drama, by offering them digital media from the iTunes Store, particularly if it's something they want to legally own OR support a creator owned work (I tend to do this myself a lot with music) OR something that you really can't find
SO THESE WISH LIST (Swedish anon are you still around or Igi's fellow Serbian?):
>122H496SB4NZY .de >3M2K9TCNYVMS8 .de >2OSMB31MUF8TM .de >3BYVIJNP276T2 .de If you want MUSIC or VIDEO, ideally /co related, but at this point, pretty much anything the FIRST one of you to claim by replying with your wish list location and your claimed iTunes Store digital media by the time I wake up tomorrow, gets one item (an album or EP, or a movie or some such).
Otherwise, the German based anon gets himself a nice hardcover via overpriced Bezamon.de ... Also - BTW my puzzle solver,
if you want say an album for yourself, that's fine by me too. I have a shit tonne of iTunes credit. I've decided on a generous budget for Amazon but I've already gifted to three people and I want to hold on to a third of my budget past the 15th so that people who are late to the party in getting a list in don't get ignored, though from past years it feels like it works out in the end, but hey, doesn't hurt to have it in your pocket. Anyway, NOW I'm off to bed.

See, tomorrow evening I'll be going to another city to see stand-up and tv presenter legend Dara O'Brien with my younger brother and his girlfriend - it's their (technically belated) birthday present to me.
Sunday I'll be going back up with them to Newcastle, where I'll be staying with my older brother and his family (they all live up there now) for a few days. >Why hello again Batboobs, you thought yourselves rather clever beating my last puzzle, but I promise you won't be so lucky with this one. Clever, Riddler, but I'm afraid it just wasn't clever enough.
Batboobs is a childish insult. You of an intellectual would never stoop so low unless it was for an obvious clue. You mentioned this entire hint as "one" -- singular. That's when I put two and two together. A boob. A breast.
ABREAST. Side by side and facing the same way.
>Consider all your hopes and dreams history! For many Christmas feels like the highlight of the winter. My fiendish foe, you almost had me stumped, but Robin pointed out the fatal flaw in your fantastic flummox! The first recorded year in which Christmas was celebrated was December 25th, 336 A.D.
Or 12, 25, 336. While those numbers don't make much sense now, we split them up and add them all together, then divide by how many there were.
1 + 2 + 2 + 5 + 3 + 3 + 6 = 22
Then 22 / 7 = 3.14 rounded. The first three numbers in Pi.
>Warring with the cold can make the season feel never ending. "The cold" is such an odd thing to say. Of course it would be freezing out in Gotham at this time of the year! Citizens would be well-prepared and ready for the onslaught of snow.

Nine One. 9 / 1. September 1st!
That's when a large percentage of people in the Philippines begin preparing for the Christmas festivities! The gift you "remember" was your time in their prisons for trying to steal all of their precious sand off Boracay's shore!
>Really only one word to describe it. Fiendish.
Let's add the facts up, Riddler!
>Abreast >Pi >Mr. Freeze >The Philippines It's so obvious and yet it was staring myself and The Boy Wonder in the face the whole time!
You and your abreast associate, Two-Face, plan on drugging Mr. Freeze's delicious Eskimo pies and plan on shipping him knocked-out to the Philippines, where he'll have no power and you both will be free to take over Gotham's underworld!
Don't bother trying to run, Riddler, I've already alerted Gotham's Finest twenty minutes ago of your scheme. Two-Face is behind bars and Freeze is in protective custody.

Well today got off to a shaky start with a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hitting Anchorage while walking my daughter down the street to the bus stop and knocking out our power for most of the day. Aside from all the trades and Figurarts on my upper shelves being tossed off like nothing at all, there's no major damage or anything. And most importantly, we're all safe. Really freaked out my daughter when it started while we were outside. It was still dark out (it is most of the time this season) and then a transformer blew causing the sky to flash various colors and then the whole neighborhood went black. We came home to my younger two children screaming in bed because the quake woke them too. I've been a bit frazzled for most of the day after that.

>>104444461 The one in my city is kinda weird in that it's been going for over 20 years, and is a REAL German market because we're twinned with Frankfurt, but it's only in the past 10 or so that people have really started to care. We're also the largest in Britain... and that's NOT a good thing. It's gotten so busy that the city has to put up one-way iasles on either side of the stalls, and it's still crammed because you get people standing round gawping like it's their first time. It's a shame, because the stalls are full of fun things, but it has definitely become a victim of its own success.
One interesting thing to note; local businesses have tried to piggyback off the success of the German market by basically having their own Christmas market literally a stone's throw away from the German market. You get some real shit on those stalls, like cheap crap you see being sold to kids by regular street peddlers and wooden bow-ties, but I'm sure I'm just being mean. This year the knock-off market is being held right outside our city's cathedral, which seems kinda fucked up to me.

And the Mark Russell Flintstones collections are excellent. Those are books I've seen on Anon's wish lists, for example, and they get name checked often.
The New Super-Man on-going which was cancelled earlier this year will end up being four trades and those are also really good. If you want older stuff, and never read it, New Frontier is an easy book to dive in, two volumes of TPBs and written and drawn by Darwyn Cooke. I've also been checking out some older books and the Green Arrow collection by Jack Kirby (which might end up being out of print and thus expensive in Europe) is great.

I have nieces and nephews and they are generally who are buy for and they are easy to buy since I like to indoctrinate them with things they've learned to love (like Lego DC graphic novels and Schoolastic Capstone DC Superhero chapter books); they still love being read to as well, so those are always easy and great gifts.
With people my age or older, it's usually, 'let's go watch a movie, something without kids so meant for adults' or go have coffee and pretty much relax that day.
