people like you need to understand that only a small percentage of people here are actual racists. black characters are some of the most beloved in comics and rhodes is a great example of that.
what we protest now is bad writing and minority characters being used just to make a point. they are empty, insulting, boring husks, w one note characters, and when the writer is done stroking ego and collecting accolades, those characters are left as little nodes of nonsense that are fucking up a flowing narrative bc theyre just there to be better than other people and make a point. so other, better characters have been upended or cleared out for them despite them having nothing behind them
people are mad bc none of the diversity characters these days are about the story, so they fuck up the story. these guys are created only for the writers ego, and thats bullshit writing in a medium where characters and their arcs have so much impact and are so well loved by so many.
