I am sorry, but what exactly was good about Knull (really a dumbed down version of Oblivion and Amatsu-Mikaboshi) or all the retcons introduced to try and tie the symbiotes to him? Cates should realize he is writing Venom and not Thor or Hercules.

I've not read Venom yet even though I love Cates because of Miles being in it. I hope it's good, and what I've seen about the Void being in it and the necrosword or whatever it's called... It all looks unabashedly cheesy in the best way. I hope it's alright.

Honestly most of the stuff i was enjoying went to shit, mostly on the DC side. I'm enjoying Grand Design, Spencer Spider-man and Wild Storm. I'll need to read Black Hammer and i will catch up with Morrison GL when it releases on tpb.
