Very. When I was in 8th grade there was a dude we ripped on for crushing on a 6th grader, even then the 2 year gap is weird.

One with good taste in age range, but in Milhouse's case, questionable taste in company. And given Milhouse is a bit dumb, Lisa is generally shown to be more mature and adult-like in her thinking anyway.

I think the stigmatization got to him, and he held on to it for years, he was always obsessed with her, even a decade later, but by then it had been shamed for so long.
One day he got wasted and ran himself into a tree at 70.

I don't think the Simpsons writers take that into account. They just see it as "these two characters are kids" and leave it at that. Most TV writers actually have no idea what real kids are like at all.

I think it's considered more normal for kids that age to develop sexual crushes and fantasies about older women rather than younger ones. That was never the case for me, but that perhaps only reinforces the notion.

This but also maybe some projecting. A 2 year crush gap between kids isn't THAT suspect/scandalous. I imagine anon is attracted to Lisa and this is a roundabout way to either fish for like-minded individuals or possibly to assuage any guilt towards being attracted to her.

Admirable dedication nonetheless.
