>>104186793I'm with you OP. At some level. One of the points about art is that it interprets reality. When that reality is about a country, a nation or an ethnic group, in most cases it will always be in favor of the mentality within which the work was conceived.
Because comic works are about heroes and how they overcome the "evil" many times the external to the base mentality that created the work works like an evil to play on.

The idea of civilization has taken many forms and in the same way, the concept of heroism can take many different forms. The cultural heroes that have shaped the human race, that blend with reality and fantasy are as varied as water.
The problem is not DC, Marvel or Jump. It is the lack of experimentation and analysis on heroism from the rest of the planet. Maybe because we are too busy surviving to be able to make more art.
