>>104132596Disney had no reason to be scared about BvS because, no matter how good or bad BvS was, mainstream audiences were too retarded to be attracted to such a movie in the first place. The pacing was a mess but the movie itself, at least in the Ultimate Cut, was pretty solid. The main problem though is that it was too serious and character focused, while the MCU just gives audiences easily digestible comedy.
No matter how much I like the DCEU and Snyder, WB made a LOT of executive mistakes if they actually wanted an easy 1 billion with BvS. They could have made a world's finest movie in the spirit of the TAS show which could have easily cracked the 1 bil mark
Pokemon looking so grimdark isn't a good thing in my eyes but there are some lighter scenes which seem to shed at least some hope that it might succeed. If they go all out kiddie style and make a sequel or spin-off that integrates the adventure aspect better, WB got itself a motherfucking cash Miltank right there
