>>103970235- Good/decent jokes (there are small misses, but far more big hits)
- Serviceable writing (the dynamics of the "business" of hormone monsters, and just how real or metaphorical many characters/things are in-universe, contain lots of plot holes and loose ends, but the show is just a comedy about the ugly realism of puberty anyways, so these details are mostly unnecessary)
- Good voice work (Not even considering the "star power" they try to employ but I'll be fucked if Jason Mantzoukas doesn't make me love him in everything)
- Intentionally ugly artstyle (and I fucking mean UGLY. In fact, I would warrant the art style, combined with the "ugly, naked truth" of the messages and scenarios they try to portray and relate to the audience are what turn off 90% of the people who don't like the show or won't give it a chance)
- Keeps the "progressive" preachiness low (For instance, straight male sexuality is actually treated as natural, often unintentional or automatic, and "okay", instead of some evil rape-murder-beast in the hearts of men that needs to be repressed in society. Though the character of Nick's sister is fucking insufferable literally every time she opens her mouth and acts as a guru on all things female. Like some airheaded bimbo teenager puts any actual thought into that, let alone acting as some kind of authority on it)
