>>103599806There's not much to say. There are no real surprises, but it looks good, it's clearly recognisable as Felicia, and it fits the game's aesthetic.
The goggles are straight from Ultimate but clear instead of gold - I'd prefer Splinter Cell green to evoke the bright green cat's eyes she sometimes has, and I hope they have some kind of "SFX" in game like Spidey's moving eyes, because as it stands they just look like oversized swimming goggles. I don't like that they've completely traded the fur for white armor, and I wish they'd gone all-in on making the gloves/boot white, rather than just adding a heavy white trim, but I understand the reasoning and it matches Peter's new suit too well for me to really argue. That's about it, really.
Black Cat is a tricky character to "redesign" because her costume has been more or less perfect from day one and survived four decades with only minor tweaks. It's why Catwoman stole it wholesale. The only consistent change has been the usual "tactical" shift to give her zippers and leather instead of black cloth (apparently more suited to stealthy cat burglary, somehow?); other than that, it's mostly just a question of how much cleavage each artist wants her showing.
And because her look is already borderline perfect, any additions or changes tend to stand out as unnecessary or just fall totally flat, like that one weird tube-top half-mask thing, or her villain costume with the weird orange stripes and cat-eye icons.
>>103599999It's a straightforward, 20 minute collectathon with some fun dialogue that led you to an amazing looking suit. It could have been more exciting, but if there wasn't a Black Cat DLC at all, that side mission would stand alone just fine as a cute little cameo.
That said, I'm glad there's more Black Cat coming, even if MJ is locked in as the canon love interest despite being insufferable in this game.
