It's not wholly unusual for social media blackouts to happen. There's a Malaysian co-production, Nine Lives Of Claw, that was posting very frequent updates for over a year. Then, they went dark, briefly returned, and haven't tweeted in six months. The show is very much still happening, and was recently at MIPJUNIOR, but studios love their NDAs and I fucking hate it.
https://twitter.com/Claw9livesWhen these animation studios sign a distribution deal, basically, the distributor wants to control the message. And some distributors don't like having a message until a month before they do something with the show. That often results in EXTREMELY long stretches where that's an absence of information.
And when active and talkative people are forced into silence, it's damn noticeable.
