Azz is absolutely terrible at writing most DC characters so something where he gets to work with a lot of second-rate or one-note characters is perfect for him, especially something that can have tons of edge.
As long as he gets Boomerbutt and Waller right, he's golden.

I'd like to know when /co/ started hated azz. I've never been a fan myself and found 100 bullets boring, but know it was favorably well recieved here along with his other vertigo works. His wonder woman run was good too till everyone decided it wasn't. So whats the deal? Is he a good writer as long as it's not cape comics? Pr does he just not understand established characters?

I liked his wondy run till azz decided to make her the god of war and give her a power boost like dbz. That's when I stopped reading as did most anyone with common sense. The new jutice league dark already decided to make her go super saiyan agian. I do believe dc is going back to there nu52 bullshit power levels agian. Didio can't leave soon enough. He almost bankrupt marvel in the 90s and now he's doing it to dc.
