>>103511426To be honest the anvils and most of her development were my idea since they barely did anything with Laura.
Also I learn that when it's OK to like a character, it's not OK and never OK to make said character a waifu, waifus can mess you up badly as it did to me and it's only as of last month that I got out of this weeaboo phase I was in for years.
It's also when I found out that I hate most anime, what attracted me to Hamtaro was mostly the Nintendo games but the show was not about fighting and that it's female characters were not being treated as objects but since the hamsters were idiots in the show (and not in a good way either, the ham-hams did got better once they stopped shoving humans into their plots) so I focused on the humans on the show and there were so many empty holes into what the girls do that I decided to flesh the characters out, and I did, up to the point that I ended up replacing the hamsters whenever I deal with the IP.
Also to be honest I hated the human characters at first and my first thoughts were "Why are there humans in this show about hamsters?" as I came off of funny animal comedies, I turned away whenever Laura & Kana shown up but then Travis shown up and I started to give the human characters a chance and I ended up liking them more then the hamsters in the show (games were better because they were smarter and no humans for the most part).
As for why Travis? During sick days I watched whatever that was on TV and Bob the Builder was one of those fuller shows I watch, one of the character's names was Travis and I always associate that name with that character but then Hamtaro shoved a monkey wench in there with it's Travis and he alone made me warm up to Laura and Kana.
