>>103452061You're reading too much into certain things, and even then... have you seen current Wonder Woman? Or even some of the pre-New 52 Wonder Woman stories like Amazons Attack? The amazons were and still are even more problematic.
Meanwhile this book pretty much takes what was Golden and Silver age Wonder Woman mythos and does a modernized take on it. Everything you see here was present back in the day. The other heroes were all aware of this shit.
The only problem, maybe, is that this Wonder Woman wouldn't be able to act as a counterpoint to Superman like she normally do in the normal continuity, where you've Superman acting logically, smartly, and compassionate while she is shown to be over-emotional, naive, and pragmatic to the point of coming across as a psychopath, all because of the "warrior" thing. She and her amazons would be shown as advanced as any other alien society in the DCU. The whole "barbarian" thing wouldn't be able to be used anymore. She'd stop being the trinity member who kills or advocate for killing. And so on.
THAT WOULD ACTUALLY BE A GOOD THING. I'm tired of seeing Wonder Woman swinging a sword. I want this retro Wonder Woman back. The invisible jet piloting Wonder Woman with her purple rays.
