>>103324564... Because in Marvel "America" usually means Captain America? Especially since I mentioned a Captain America book in the same fucking sentence? Are you genuinely fucking braindead?
Also I know very little about the character aside from the name, the fact that /co/ hates her and all samples of writing I've seen of her were fucking atrocious. I have no intention to seek out more, but I also harbor no specific malice toward the character.
And I only said "Whor" because it seems to be accepted parlance here and it's shorter than "Jane Foster Thor". Sorry, but you're barking at a wrong tree.
I could go on a longer rant about diversity in comics - about how characters like Miles and Riri is not the real problem, but the real problem is the fact that they're written by white guys like Bendis, making it only an ILLUSION of real diversity, when black characters written by people like McDuffie resulted in some of the best comics in history; the POINT of diversity is not just having a diversity of races or sexes, but to have a resulting diversity of EXPERIENCES, viewpoints and backgrounds that would allow these creators to provide insights that White Guy Number 25 could never do; meaning that Marvel's "diversity" push is nothing more than another sales gimmick to sucker people into buying their comics; but if I went too in depth into that it'd be off topic, I think.
