>>103083754Perhaps, and I'm just taking a wild guess here, just maybe it was a total team effort? ATLA had Bryke, Ehasz, Volpe, Filoni, and Dos Santos. Look at the post-ATLA works of each of them separately. Korra clearly suffered without Filoni, Ehasz, Volpe, and Dos Santos. But then on the flip side, The Clone Wars (actually the second best animated show ever after AtLA, but only because of George Lucas' close involvement) and moreso Rebels did lack in some ways with Filoni alone and so do Voltron with Dos Santos and Hedrick and The Dragon Prince with Ehasz and Volpe. All really good shows, but not flawless classics like Avatar was. Obviously they can succeed broken apart, but perhaps their real success was only achievable together? I think the only hope of ever reaching those heights again is for them to all be involved, they each clearly bring a key piece to the table that when lost fucks with the balance and creates problems with the writing and vision.
