Disney is a big bad megacorp in nerd world but it routinely makes mistakes and overextends itself. Getting that shit from FOX took like five years of their profits to actually do and they had to fight off Comcast, a younger, more wealthy megacorp, to actually do it.
Disney is throwing around money like it's going out of style but all that really means is if things slow down they'll just have debts and not a lot to show for it. Their entire current strategy relies way too heavily on market domination and saturation and if they can't keep that up it'll go south FAST.
Remember they're spending 100 million on a Star Wars streaming series, which is usually a big number for a blockbuster, and then they announced a bunch more in that range yesterday for Marvel, for a platform that isn't even out using franchises that are in some cases no longer turning easy profits anymore. What you see a domination is actually just desperation.
