>>102967067The problem with the supposed "lessons" that the show wants to teach to the kids using Finn (in the hypothetical case) is that Finn was supposed to be a role model for the kids, for 4 seasons he used to be a very good person who is always trying to be brave to protect or take care of the people in general, Jake even described him like "a good boy with a good heart". The whole deal about Finn being irresponsible or immature began with "Playing with Fire" but before of that he wasn't all the bad things that the show wants to make us think that he was all this time.
Besides the lessons that the show pretends to teach aren't really very logical if you ask me. The show isn't really very consistent about Finn and his journey despite he is always reflecting about... well... things, and it doesn't really know "what is the lesson that he needs to learn?". But all this journey began with season 6.
I feel that it's more like the writers need to keep him sad to keep repeating the same plot, and to do so they did to PB more distant of Finn, Jake someone who is never really interested in prevent to Finn of commit mistakes, and he isn't allow to re-conciliate with his girlfriend even when it's hinted many times that he still loves her.
